What's you're opinion on Caspar and Linhardt relationship, like why do you think they work so well despite their differences
Oh, I have SO MUCH to say about their relationship. This works platonically as well as romantically in my opinion.
I've thought so much about why Caspar and Linhardt stayed friends for as long as they have. Linhardt seems to have little patience for most people, but Caspar's somehow been his exception for over a decade. And I like to think it's because Caspar has a specific quality to him that Linhardt saw that no other kids did, and vice versa.
Something that they both have in common is that they don't act like noble kids are expected to act, and they found solidarity in that fact.
Caspar's rowdy and got into tussles a lot. This is headcanon territory, but he probably got into a lot of trouble as a kid, and preferred to play rather than be obedient and sit still. He was also raised to train and fight, and was never raised to be lord material due to being a second son, so he never had to care for acting noble-like anyway.
Linhardt also showed no interest in being a "proper noble" and likely spent as much time as he could sleeping and looking into subjects he found actual interest in, because his father's duties were so boring and dull to him. He's someone who never cared about what people thought about him, and this was likely something that exhausted his parents to no end.
So here we have two noble kids who don't act like nobles and who never paid any mind to what others thought of them. They found solidarity in that, and so they became friends. Linhardt was likely someone who only dealt with being admonished for his lack of initiative, but Caspar was one of the only kids who ever complimented Linhardt on how smart he was and for knowing all these cool things about magic. In canon, Caspar goes to Linhardt for strategic advice because he trusts in Linhardt's plans and sees him as the brains to his brawn.
They also keep each other grounded in different ways. In my mind, Caspar teaches Linhardt to be more carefree and keeps him alert where it matters. You see this in Hopes the most. And Linhardt teaches Caspar to look at things from a more analytical lens and to not jump into things recklessly. And then there's the obvious angle of Caspar protects, and Linhardt heals. After all, canon has shown that Caspar's the reason Linhardt became good at healing in the first place.
They work well because they're a good team who balance each other perfectly and have grown up together knowing their strengths and weaknesses, and they have more in common than their surfaces would tell you.
And probably my favorite aspect of them as a pair: Caspar shows Linhardt what freedom looks like. Linhardt values his freedom more than anything, and the fact that he chooses to follow Caspar on his travels is very telling of what that means for him, someone who values free time, the freedom to research whatever he wants, and rest.
Because really, there's only so much you can learn from the confines of a library. You eventually run out of things to read. Caspar, meanwhile, is able to show him new discoveries through their adventures that books alone wouldn't be enough to show. And besides, someone has to keep him out of trouble, right? 😉

Butters outfit headcanons please!
Alright fellas strap in, because this is the character I've put the most thought in.
Tumblr media
For daily Butters' I see him wearing a fleece jacket, similar to the NorthFace ones. Some times he wears a graphic tee under it, sometimes it's a normal tee shirt.
For his pants I once saw someone say that he wears corduroy pants, and I love it. I remember having a pair growing up. For his shoes I think a low rise boot/loaf that's water resistant
Tumblr media
Moving on to my pride and joy, Professor Chaos. I see his cape being made of a spare sheet, held together by a clasp made of a broken necklace chain and the tops of cans. His vest is made of nylon ripstop and based off another Northface thing i saw. He wears green jeans, canvas shoes, and his tinfoil armor is precariously assembled with love and a lot of tape. (Stay tuned for my final costume idea)
Tumblr media
Moving on to paladin Butters.
His circlet is a cute plastic crown. He's got shoulder armor similar to that of a foot ball quarterback's. His tunic/surecloth is made from an old shirt that belonged to his father. Butters modified it to better fit him (his father didn't approve, but this isn't about that)
The belt is made of a drawstring that he found somewhere, all of it is worn over his everyday pants and shoes. He also wears those latex gloves for doing dishes. (Once again stay tuned for my final costume idea.)
Tumblr media
Ending with with his cute Halloween jamies.
They're footie pjs made of a cotton jersey fabric. (This is here mainly bc these are Uber cute and I an and will make a jacket based off it)
Now its time for Kass' final costume edit ™
These are my irl notes, and in my au, Butters gets a real cool babysitter, who has a freak knowledge on sewing.
Professor Chaos stays similar to Butters' og design. The only difference being in the cape, which was now made of a lightweight satin. That was chosen because it looks sick as heck. The tinfoil armor took a different shape, due to it being wrapped around cardboard to increase durability.
Paladin Butters has a more drastic change .
His cape is now one of those giant scarf cape things made of a lightweight linen. His tunic and surcoat are now separate pieces with the tunic being made of light cotton and the surecoat being made of wool. His belt is made of a faux leather cord that matches his boots. His gloves are made of faux suede and lined with sherpa.
The crest that's on the surecoat has a hammer discretly embroidered in it.
In my first version of it, the crest included a banner saying "Conplecte Abyssum" which is a Latin phrase roughly meaning "to embrace chaos"

Hey I thought I'd let you know Link's been seen with mysterious beak marks on his body, which have been identified as coming from a Rito. Your thoughts on this?
Hmmm? From a Rito? Are you absolutely sure?
That is peculiar indeed. I'm positively certain that there isn't a single Rito that resides within Rito Village that would have malicious intentions towards Link, let alone think about physically harming him in such an ungraceful way. Rito's are far from being the biting sort, especially when it comes to inflicting harm upon another.
If a conflict of some kind were to happen, I suspect it would be through sparring, which Rito's have done with Link in the past, and even in those cases, usually it's done with bows, as that's our preferred form of combat, or in some rare cases using a spear or sword.
We use our beaks to preen ourselves, our children, or other Rito's such as our spouses as a form of affection, it's pretty common within our culture to do this. Certainly not as a means to cause harm upon someone else. Teba and Saki have done so with each other, and preened to Tulin to. I've preened Molli, and myself. Kass has preened Amali and all his children. No harm has ever been inflicted.
The only Rito that comes to mind that, who would consider doing something like this to Link would be Revali, but even that feels like stretch.
For starters Link could easy prevent Revali from doing such a thing, and yet it also wouldn't make sense for Revali to choose such a method to harm Link either. I'm pretty sure he'd use any other method but that way. Archery is Revali's method of combat, not biting. He'd never resort to something so unsightly.
Link and Revali have sparred plenty of times...and Revali always insisted they spar in places...where no one could see them...Hmm...
Well...the only logical explanation would be that Revali was likely trying to preen Link...
But...for Revali to consider preening Link, that would mean that Revali is attracted to Link...and if he was attracted to Link...he would preen him to show affection...which he would use his beak to do...and as Link doesn't have any feathers...marks would be left on his body as result...which would imply that Revali's trying to...
...

Pawn Lane has been travelling the rift for over 4 decades and inwardly scoffs at newer pawns trying to tell him things he has experienced first hand already ahshsh it's not like they know. Pawns don't age so by their standards he's not old at all but has no patience left to entertain naivety.
Tumblr media
He could easily channel grumpy uncle energy if he had a more stereotypical appearance.

Linda held Kass in place with a strength and grip that felt like she could break off his horn if she held any tighter, as she spoke her threat casually with an underlying irritation in her tone that was clear the mienshao's eyes.
Tumblr media
"Now if you're really so curious, this 'quest' wasn't my idea in the first place. And it's not about the mega stones either. But they do know that I have a few of them. Although what's it to you if they do?" She asked rhetorically as she loosened her grip a bit for the other dragon could pull himself free if he wished. "A soft little dragon like you is in no position to be judging me on anything unless you want to learn how to fly."

I'm curious about "The Remlit's Out of the Bag"
Thanks for the ask @vanali-of-winterfell !
"The Remlit's Out of the Bag" is, obviously, a play on the phrase "the cat's out of the bag" but with a Skyward Sword twist. This was a chapter name I had decided on rather early, however, the content of the chapter changed.
In a rare-ish example (as far as The Realm Walker) is concerned I started writing ahead in The Ballad of Kass. Originally this chapter started off with Kass playing outside of Rito Stable, alongside Link's magical wolf master (cause Link is the pet rather he likes it or not), Ada (less Wolf Link and more Wolf Midna). They're performing a duet of Epona's Song to astounded and confused onlookers when Link, Mipha, and Revali approach.
Kass first met Mipha a week or so before this at Woodland Stable while Link was heading towards Korok Forest to get the Master Sword. He played along with the lie that Mipha was a descendant of the Zora Champion of 100 years ago. He can't get away with pretending he doesn't know who Revali is and is forced to come clean with knowing who Link is.
But then things went off script in Chapter 6, instead of Kass and Kalia arriving at Rito Stable after Teba and Harth attack Vah Medoh, they arrive during their attack and get dragged into it. Without going to much into detail, this forces Kass to confess to someone other than his wife and sister just why he has gone out into the wilds of Hyrule, but also forces Kaneli to make a confession, that he's known where Vah Medoh has been for the last 30 years. (Originally Kaneli made this confession to just Kass and Kalia in much calmer circumstances before he sent him to Gerudo Town...)
Despite the warnings of the Elder, [Kaneli] turns east to go around the mountain.  Fortunately, his high altitude, when combined with his silent Bubo Tribe wings, allows him to avoid attracting the attention of the White-maned Lynels stalking the field below.  Eventually he flies over the North Lomei Labyrinth and ponders its purpose before drifting over the Great Scar Canyon. The fierce winds push him back towards Hyrule, but as a skilled flyer, he’s able to remain steady and angles himself to fly between the peaks and over the temple ruins in the Tanagar Canyon on his way back to Snowfield Stable to regroup with the rest of his Warriors. Suddenly something catches his eye, a hint of orange light near the bottom of the deep canyon.  His curiosity getting the better of him, Kaneli tucks his massive wings against his body and dives towards the light! After several moments something comes into view, something massive!  It’s made of what looks like stone and is shaped like a giant bird.  Kaneli’s eyes widen as he realizes what it is…  Divine Beast Vah Medoh!  But what’s it doing here?!  All the stories say it was last seen heading northwest of Tabantha Village and it had left Hyrule! Kaneli approaches the Divine Beast cautiously, dread filling his heart as he circles.  He fears that at any moment the beast could wake and attack him.  It’s perched atop a spire on a massive dome which is connected to four smaller domes.  The structure is made of some black stone like material that reminds him of the shrines that dot Hyrule’s landscape.  However, several spots are glowing in orange, mimicking the patterns of constellations.  The large glowing circles on the domes must be what caught his attention…
(If you remember that map I posted, this structure that Kaneli spotted is marked as "Wind Temple". It'll be important later. [Not to be confused with the Stormwind Arc Wind Temple from TotK, I made up this place before TotK came out, it's basically an Ancient Sheikah factory that had a hand in building Vah Medoh.)
It's after this point that The Ballad of Kass splits up into alternating chapters, focusing on either Kass (and Rinili) or Kalia (and Teba, Saki, and Amali). I had thought about going back and forth between them each chapter like an A-plot/B-plot TV show kind of thing, but eventually decided to go with wholly separate chapters. (The mentioned encounter with Revali will still play out, but with some significant changes to what I wrote.)

Hii! I love your digital photography and content in general ❤️
I would like to know, what DLC are you referring to when you talk about the cursed Odyssey DLC?
I loved that game and your shots of Kassandra are just incredible!
Hi anon, thank you I'm thrilled to hear you enjoy my work 😊
It is Legacy of the First Blade DLC where regardless of what sexuality you play Kassandra/Alexios as, the DLC will force a wlm romance because the 'plot' demands a child, even if players refuse the love interest in the "option". So when you refuse, it ends with the LI coming back and bam, baby.
Before the backlash, the game will give you a "Growing Up" trophy after having the baby, because fuck you players for wanting choices in a dlc of a choice-based rpg game. Sorry you can choose to have orgy with a goat involved, kill your own family, and let the leader of the Cult live (after kissing her), but the decision to have a baby is too big for players.
Context for the baby? Kassandra is in the middle of a war, where Athen and Sparta at each other's neck and both have corruption from within due to the Cult. Mercenaries on all sides and want to hunt her down at any moment. She recently lost Phoibe, who essentially is her adoptive child (this pain still hurts her after 1000 yrs). Btw Kassandra is immortal (main game plot), she lives from 438BCE all the way to 2018 so idk why bother with bloodline. Anyway, so ofc having a baby in the middle of all this plus taking 1-2yrs off to play house is a great idea.
This lousy plot is only to connect Odyssey and Origins together, because bloodline, which is ironic because bloodline has been irrelevant since Black Flags (Animus got an upgrade) and said bloodline in Origins (essentially Kassandra's descendant, Amunet/Aya's only child, Khemu) got killed off in the few hours. So all of this just to say, oh Kassandra and Amunet are related, but nothing else meaningful comes out of that. And anything from this dlc is never mentioned again in any story going forward (which is good imo), even in the new Kassandra crossover in AC Valhalla they mentioned Phoibe.
In terms of chemistry Kassandra has with the dude, I'll put it this way: Kratos has better chemistry with his dead wife who never appeared on screen. Actually, I rather choose the dude's father, he's a true gilf.
So when I hear about something similar with Minthy, saying I feel like I somehow dodged a missile is an understatement.

What happened in azure gleam to make you feel that way towards Caspar?
To put it simply, I did not have fun with Hopes' story because Caspar was my reason for playing it and he ended up being unrecruitable in every route but his own. It was even worse when I saw before the game's release that Linhardt was recruitable in all routes and I ended up incorrectly assuming that would be the case for Caspar too. Do not separate, etc. Imagine my surprise when the game ended up forcing me to.
But even worse than that, the reason for him being unrecruitable in Azure Gleam was incredibly unsatisfying to me, and it was the scene where he talks to his father late into the route, his father gave him an out so he could survive, and Caspar refused to take it.
At that point in the game, Edelgard had lost her agency entirely to TWSITD (a horrendous turn of events considering her past) and the Empire was a sinking ship. And at that point, he was given the opportunity to leave and have his own life, even punctuated by his father pointing out that he had someone he cared about on the other side (this is obviously talking about Linhardt). And Caspar DOES NOT LEAVE. WHAT?
I don't think I need to explain why this baffled me so much.
This writing absolutely gutted me on a deep level, and not in a good way. I didn't play the route, but I saw this secondhand and it was enough for me to consider the route dead to me.
Taking my favorite character and making him impossible to recruit because they made him so loyal to a fault that he was willing to doom himself as a way to show that he would fight to the bitter end just made the game just. So unfun to me. Because while giving up is clearly not in his nature, this is an example of this trait being shown in a very negative light to me due to the circumstances presented and it makes Caspar feel very out of character to me. I get how it makes sense from Hopes' perspective, but ugh, that doesn't mean I have to like it.
One of the things that made me love Caspar was his different narrative growths based on the different routes of Three Houses. But Hopes gave him just one option and it's the one where he barely thinks for himself and his own survival.

Picturing Chaos in your TFBW dlc idea giving the new kid a tinfoil crown, sorta as a reference to their status in stick of truth
Except he accidentally makes it too big so it sits on their head lopsided
That's so cute omgggg.

You know I'm surprised Harth, of all the people I'd expect to give Revali the truth bomb, I never expected it to be you. I would've thought Teba or Tulin to be the one's to give Revali the reality check, considering how brutally honest they can be. I have to respect that.
I don't think it was matter of if it was going to happen, only when. Teba, Tulin, Kass, Saki, and myself, we all appreciate Link for what he has done for the Rito people, and how he's effected our lives.
Teba because of the positive effect Link has had on his family. Link ultimately saving his life, and helping to nurture Tulin into the young warrior he is today. They've spent a lot of time together, I can say for certain that no one within the village knows Link better than they do, other than a certain blue bard. When Link comes to the village, he'll always be there, always spending time with them, and always being reassured by them of his value, always being told how much he means to them. Not to mention Saki could very well have been a widow, had it not been for Link's arrival, something I still shudder to think out.
Kass also knows Link, surprisingly very well, even before he got to meet him in person. Turns out while Link was travelling all over Hyrule by himself, fighting endless battles to reverse what the Calamity had done. Kass was always there to greet him at various points. Offering him guidance, a friendly face to share his problems with, a warm presence that Link could trust even during his darkest moments. I suspect Kass is probably a major reason why Link was able to keep going, even when he had no one to rely on. Kass became a confident for Link, there's things about him that he only he knows, and he took great pride in his work. Heck he even taught Link how to play the accordion at some point. Link's also very well acquainted with his family to. Aside from helping them with with their troubles, he's also cooked for them on several occasions, simply because he enjoyed putting a smile on their faces.
In time I'm sure any one of them would have spoken out against Revali, it was simply who decided to take that step first, when the situation felt appropriate for them.
I suspect if Teba had been the one to reach that point, it would have been quite brutal, even for his standards. He's naturally blunt, and he never minces his words, he's not one to show restraint when defending someone who he highly respects. I'm sure if I hadn't said what I did then, Teba would've been the first one to speak out.
I suspect Tulin would be similar but to a lesser agree. He's a good kid, and Link's humbleness has certainly rubbed of on him. But he's a lot more perceptive than he let's on, and has never once been shy when it came to expressing himself, and telling others how he truly feels about them. He's never wasted a second when it came to talking about his latest adventure with Link, and it wouldn't take long for to him to speak out, should his role model get constantly belittled in front of him.
Saki would probably try to do it in a way to avoid tensions rising, but if that fails she wouldn't hesitate to be confrontational. Her gentle demeanour does wonders to hide just how scary she can be when she's upset.
Kass has a way of making sure his words have weight, without even so much as raising his voice. I've rarely, if ever, have seen him angry, and yet his words have always been powerful. It would take a lot for him to reach his breaking point. But if he did, I'm sure that would be one of Revali's biggest regrets.
I take no pleasure in people's misery, nor do I take pleasure in using harsh words, but I acknowledge and understand the necessity of it, as well as when to do so. The others also understand this.
The truth can be painful, and reality can often be harsh, but you can't deny it, nor can you dismiss it. Revali may have been revered by the Rito in the past, but in the present, things aren't quite like that. Whether it was fate, or by chance, Link ended becoming someone who the Rito's have grown to deeply admire.
Revali should not regard Link as a barrier to acceptance, nor should he compare himself to him. I hope he discovers in time that he doesn't have to be Link's superior to be accepted.
